The Next Generation Marching Band (NXGB) was founded in April 2010 by Mrs.Tiara Hines-Abraham, Mrs. Nakia Thomas and Mr. Mark McCall.

We are based out of the Cherryhill community in South Baltimore. We are a non-profit organization which will primarily operate through fundraising and available community resources.

Participants of the band will have an opportunity to perform in parades, competitions, and exhibitions throughout the city and state(s).

We currently have a staff of approximately 20 members and 140 band members. We feel such a response from the community in less than a month speaks volumes in regards to our mission, vision, motivation, and aspirations.

Our primary motivation is the need for more constructive outlets and elements available to youth and young adults. We aspire to counteract negativity and division such as gang violence, etc. with unity and positivity by providing a platform which allows the youth an opportunity to express themselves through the creativty and structure of a band.

Our mission is to invest in the youth (our future) by building character, esteem, discipline, confidence, etc. 

Our vision is to empower, encourage and evolve the "NEXT GENERATION" both socially and academically!!
